About our day boat
At Fenny Marina, we offer a modern 36ft narrowboat available for day hire. This spacious vessel comfortably accommodates up to 10 passengers, making it ideal for family outings, celebrations with friends or small group excursions.
Powered by an environmentally friendly electric motor, the boat provides a quieter, cleaner experience on the water. You’ll enjoy the peaceful atmosphere as you cruise along the canal, taking in the surrounding countryside.
Our boat features a practical layout with comfortable seating, a well-equipped galley area with a kettle and basic facilities for preparing drinks and snacks, and a clean, accessible toilet. Large windows and an open front deck provide excellent views of the passing countryside and wildlife.
No previous boating experience is necessary, as full instruction is provided before your departure.

Booking our day boat is straightforward. After selecting your preferred date, you’ll receive confirmation and pre-arrival information to help you prepare for your day.
On the day of your hire, arrive at Fenny Marina for 9.30am. Our team will welcome you and complete the necessary paperwork before providing a comprehensive orientation. This includes practical instruction on boat handling, operating locks and safety procedures.
Once you’re comfortable with the controls, you’re free to set off on your canal adventure. The boat is simple to handle, and our team ensures you feel confident before departure.
Return to Fenny Marina by 4.30pm, allowing plenty of time for a full day’s adventure on the canal. Our staff will meet you upon your return to check the boat and answer any questions about your experience.
We recommend booking in advance, particularly during summer months and school holidays, as the day boat is popular with holiday guests and day visitors.
